Assistant Teacher Positions

Are you a self-directed learner, eager to make a significant impact in the life of a child by learning and applying the Montessori method of education?

Do you have a degree or experience in Early Childhood Education, Psychology or another child-related field?

Share your respect and awe for children by becoming a passionate and supportive member of our Salem Montessori School (SMS) community. Our number one priority is the well being and development of every child. This includes the whole child – the physical, social/emotional and cognitive. Our SMS staff members work together as part of a collaborative, caring team and serve as positive role models. Successful team members:

• Are dependable and consistent in their ability to be physically and mentally present for the children
• Take responsibility for being proactive in problem-solving, caring for the environment, and building relationships
• Have a keen awareness and observation skills
• Communicate articulately, respectfully and constructively

Full time and part time (3 PM-6 PM) positions are available. SMS serves children from 6 weeks to 14 years old.
